Brilliant hotel. Brilliant Room. Fabulous location right in the centre. Great parking, pay for parking directly underneath. Spoons across the road.. 30 mins from Chelmsford in the car.
I've stayed in 3 hotels in the local area. I couldn't be more happy with the staff and the help from the manager. I would get help moving my stuff to my room as I'm disabled, clean towels, bed changing when asked. The breakfast would be brought to my room as I wasn't able to walk well. They really understood the pain I was in and made me feel really comfortable. I've been to other hotels and unfortunately speaking to the front desk, isn't great. I never had a bad experience staying here. The only small downfall might be that the baths are small, but for a short stay, that doesn't matter. If I ever needed to go to a hotel in the area, il always recommend this one. Thank you
The second time I’ve stayed here. Nice big rooms (I was in 310) overlooking the bus station which is super convenient. Friendly staff and good value for money. Several places for eating nearby including Wetherspoons just at the end of the street. Handy for Stansted - 35 mins on the hourly bus.
Modern, clean, comfortable budget hotel. Good shower, good room. Staff very helpful, especially the breakfast lady. Nothing to fault it.
I must say, I had a fantastic overnight stay at Travelodge Braintree. The room was very clean, the Manager was welcoming and very helpful. Facilities were top notch. I recommend considering this hotel if you're planning a trip to Braintree. It's very close to the central shopping area, the District Museum, and about 20 mins walk to the Outlet Village. Prices were very reasonable.
Really nice little Travelodge situated perfectly in the town centre. Rooms are always immaculate and the staff are proper friendly. The only gripe I have (as a frequent customer) is how sharply the room prices seem to fluctuate from one week to the next. All-in-all though, prices here are far more reasonable than essentially anywhere else.
Room was clean and service was fine and the location is perfect for a short stay if you are flying from Stansted. Much better than options closer to the airport and much cheaper. Definitely worth the extra 20 min drive. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby including an excellent Indian.
